Responsibilities: Troubleshooting, configuring, and remote deployment of routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as wireless technologies such as access points, cloud keys, and wireless controllers. Escalation points to L1 help desk engineers Trouble tickets and opportunity tickets/requests Stage and configure devices Configure monitoring tools Respond to and resolve escalated network incidents and service requests. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Troubleshoot complex network issues, including routing, switching, and firewall-related problems. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability for client networks. Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects on network optimization for clients. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations for client networks. Monitor client network performance and test for weaknesses. Provide escalated support and troubleshooting to resolve client issues. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Experience Requirements: 3+ years working with the following Proven hands-on network engineering experience Deep understanding of netwknowledgeols Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools - 3 years Working knowledge of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, etc.) Hands-on experience with hardware (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, HP) and network cabling installation 3 years Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple client projects and prioritize tasks effectively Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc.) - Desirable GENESYS Consulting Services, Inc. is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
