The Deskside Technician is vital in providing technical support to employees at ABC. This role involves addressing end-users' IT needs, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring smooth operations. The position requires regular interaction with users to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support within both facilities, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly. Assist with software installations, updates, and configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed. User Assistance: Offer on-site guidance and training on using various software applications and technological tools. Address user inquiries related to IT systems and applications, providing clear and concise instructions. Systems Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on computers, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and equipment inventory for both facilities. Generate reports on recurring issues, system performance, and equipment status for review by the IT Supervisor. Security and Compliance: Adhere to company policies and security protocols, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems. Collaboration and Communication: Work with the IT team to execute IT projects, upgrades, and deployments. Communicate effectively with users, understanding their needs and providing timely updates on issue resolution or system changes. Requirements: Proven experience as a Deskside Technician or in a similar role, preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
