Distinctive Living is seeking a Regional Vice President of Operations based in Toledo, OH with frequent travel to assigned communities in Michigan and Ohio, as well as other states in the Mid-West/South as the company grows. RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS: Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all operational activities of communities managed by Distinctive Living that are assigned to the Regional Vice President of Operation's region. This includes developing revenue, controlling expenses, actions of facility staff, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards, and communicating with the managing company on all appropriate matters. Supports the Executive Directors in managing all efforts and service programming to meet the expected revenue achievement of the regions on a monthly basis. Manages expenses including labor and controllable expenses in order to meet NOI objectives on a monthly and yearly basis. Ensures all reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner to the managing company and as other overseeing agencies. Supports Executive Directors in all areas of training that are required by the managing company, state and federal jurisdictions, and upon individual need. Supports Executive Directors in maintaining a safe environment for all employees, free from workplace hazards and harassment. Discusses all issues on personnel matters that concern meeting standards with management. Ensures Executive Directors oversee each department in the building to assure that services and work are up to the standards set by the managing company. Supports Executive Directors to ensure all employee evaluations are completed per policy of the managing company. This includes timely evaluations of all employees upon 90 days of employment, annual evaluations and change of position evaluations. Performance Evaluations will be a true reflection of the entire body of work for each employee since the last time an evaluation was completed and will set out employment growth and/or improvement issues. Responsible for timely response to all resident, family, employee, community, and regulatory complaints. Encourages open communication in order to resolve issues and update the involved parties on the status of their issues. Informs the managing company of complaints as required in policy. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations associated with the licensure of the buildings under their scope of authority. This includes HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, etc. that apply to the specific location of the property. Issues raised by any regulator will be immediately discussed with the managing company. Ensures all employees work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are brought to the attention of the offending employee, including disciplinary action if warranted. Notifies appropriate trained staff should they witness residents requiring assistance. Responsible for maintaining positive relations with team members, community referral sources, the community at large, and all visitors, guests, and residents. Fosters teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned or needed. Qualifications: Must have proven management experience and ability to manage staff. Must have prior experience in a Regional level operational role (RVP Ops, Sales, Clinical, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Must be licensed or willing to obtain certification in the assigned community's state. Bachelor's Degree in Business or a field related to the position is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong teamwork skills and positive community relations skills. Excellent grammar, and punctuation skills. Self-motivated and has the ability to work independently and make decisions. Utilizes time effectively to complete unfinished tasks within office organization. Able to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas. Excellent organizational and time management skills, detail oriented. Pleasant, professional, and personable.
