They are looking to add a Transportation Safety Coordinator to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $33/hr - $38/hr Depending on experience Position Overview: The Transportation Safety Coordinator will oversee contractor safety programs, ensuring service safety and reliability. They will be responsible for analyzing contractor reports on accidents and incidents, ensuring compliance with safety KPIs and regulatory requirements (including NTD reporting). Responsibilities of the Transportation Safety Coordinator: The Transportation Safety Coordinator will be monitoring contractor safety audits, inspections, and training compliance. Reviewing and improving safety training content and processes. Leading contractor safety meetings to promote best practices and collaboration. Conducting field inspections and audits to verify safety compliance and recommending corrective actions. Collaborating with various departments on safety issues and proposing policy or contract revisions. Managing emergency response procedures, activating event alerts, and coordinating communications during incidents. Representing the organization at safety-related forums and meetings, including providing post-event briefings for continuous improvement. Recommending hazard analyses and safety mitigations, along with conducting feasibility studies on new technologies. Managing the maintenance of emergency operating plans to ensure service reliability. Qualifications for the Transportation Safety Coordinator: 4+ years of experience in the transportation industry. Strong knowledge and experience with safety programs and training. Data analysis and project management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. The Transportation Safety Coordinator should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required.
