Duties: Support Services-Audit is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator III for coordination and oversight in a busy office responsible for multiple programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, oversight/implementation of Trust Fund Accounting (TFA) continuous monitoring program; oversight of general ledger and trial balance maintenance; perform audits and reconciliations; support the implementation of the Department's new Commercial Off the Shelf (COS) TFA system. Review of support documents for TFA Accounts.Analysis of financial reports, records, and documents of correctional institutions through contact with MA DOC Facility Treasurer Offices to determine compliance with established policies and procedures to mitigate risk. Provide administrative support to Director of Support Services, Deputy of Audit & Compliance, and Deputy of Support Services as needed. A considerable degree of decision making is required. Other projects and duties as assigned.This position requires entering correctional facilities. Special Requirements: Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class 3 Motor Vehicle Operator's license may be required. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a correctional institution setting, familiarity with MGL and CMR governing Department of Correction policies and procedures, knowledge of the MMARS Accounting System, knowledge of GAGAS and IIA standards, working knowledge of DOC Inmate Management System Trust Fund Accounting module. Comments: This is a Civil Service position. Please note that salaries for union positions are determined according to the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreement. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.* II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of three years of the required (A) experience. * III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience. Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
