The Production Control Training Associate is a material handling team member who is responsible for training their teammates in all aspects of the material handler position. A successful PC Training Associate will be approachable, outgoing, and an expert performer of all material handling tasks. Our ideal PC Training Associate is an up-and-coming leader who embodies Tesla's culture and values and is capable of driving significant and measurable performance improvements in their team. Responsibilities Help Leads enforce proper PPE use, safe use of PIT equipment, general safety and workmanship standards, and adherence to standard work instructions Use JIRA system to communicate process changes to material handling teams, and ensure standard work instructions are available and up-to-date Maintain accurate records of Certifications and Policies as they apply to training requirements and OSHA standards Train and certify material handlers to properly perform all production control processes using Versatility Chart system. Make and document daily training contacts using Inside Tesla Events, to monitor performance and progress of all uncertified material handlers Spend part of every shift working as a material handler, to maintain expertise and observe the team's performance up close, while being capable of filling in for team leads as needed Facilitate onboarding of new material handlers, including classroom and hands-on training Create training content, including shooting and editing footage for training videos, writing and editing standard work instructions, and writing and editing classroom presentations. Use Outlook to communicate with colleagues and use Workday to facilitate PIT training prerequisites Requirements 1+ year of warehouse experience with demonstrated experience in training (preferred) In-depth knowledge of PC processes across multiple areas and production lines, and MOS PC transactions knowledge Expert user of PIT equipment (forklift, reach truck, etc.), with history of safe operating record. Experience training others to drive PIT equipment preferred Previous experience using computers daily at work.
