Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas. Business Coordinator I. POSITION OBJECTIVE (State the purpose of this job and reason for existence) 1. Collect and analyze market information. 2. Logistic study, planning and arrangement. 3. Report preparation. 4. Payment process and business implementation. II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY (Describe major functions of this job) Conduct economic analysis regarding product procurement, product sales, logistic arrangements and future expansion investments Collect and analyze market information and provide Manager with pertinent data to assist in business decision Assist Manager in business implementation; contact suppliers for products quotations; assist Manager in selling olefins products to outside customers when necessary Coordinate business execution amongst internal departments, outside suppliers, customers and freight carriers Coordinate feedstock supply schedule with outside suppliers. Record data pertinent to economic analysis and judgement Prepare management reports for executive management review Prepare recommendation reports for instructions/approval Process purchase/sales orders on a timely basis - this includes order entry, abnormal order adjustments, and resolving customer complaints. As a back up to Business Administrator during their absence. Participate in Olefins products' pipelines project. Other job tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor. III. QUALIFICATIONS A. TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA 1. Previous Related Experience Required Business related experience in Chemical/Plastics field preferred. 2. Technical Skills Required To Perform This Job Strong analytical and computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) a must. 3. Education 4-year college degree in business, engineering, or computer related major. Advanced degree preferred. 4. Other Certification/Training Required To Gain Function-Related Technical Knowledge Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Must be able to write speeches and prepare presentations on controversial/complex topics to top management and/or public groups. Ability to communicate in Chinese, read and write Chinese reports preferred. 5. Other Requirements (Physical/Mental Demand, Schedule/Hours, Travel) Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required. Physical requirements include duties common to a regular office environment, and able to travel for business trip alone. INDIVIDUAL SPECIFIC JOB TASKS Market Survey: Collect market information such as: industry operating status, trade transactions, supply-demand balance, production schedules, price trends, etc. Products range from upstream market i.e. natural gas, crude oil, natural gas liquids and refined products to downstream products such as PE, PP, EG, PVC etc. Provide Director/Manager with market information in order to assist in business practices. Macro and micro economics analysis to better aid in business decisions. Assist Director/Manager in business implementation. Discuss and coordinate with carriers, suppliers, customers and our related departments to maintain efficient transportation schedules. Back up Business Administrator in processing orders and updating market prices during their absence. Process purchase and sales orders on a timely basis including: order entry, abnormal order adjustments, complaints, and end of month closing. Collect and record price and market summaries via publications i.e. OPIS, Platt's. Conduct economic analysis for special projects such as products procurement strategies, product sales, logistic arrangements, and our future expansions, investments, acquisitions, and or joint ventures with other companies. Management and Business Report preparation Assist Feedstock department in preparing both English and Chinese management reports for executive management. Prepare necessary recommendation reports for approval/instruction. Coordinate among our business related departments both internally and with outside suppliers, customers, and carriers to ensure our proper business execution.
