Commercial HVAC Estimator

15th October, 2024 The Wilner Group has teamed up with a full-service building automation, design build, and mechanical contracting firm trusted by Fortune 500 clients who is seeking to hire a Commercial HVAC Estimator. This position requires someone who has the experience to come in and hit the ground running. This is an on-site, full time and permanent position based out of South Amboy, NJ. Compensation is $75k-$120K based on experience + great benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, PTO, and matching 401K. Responsibilities Collaborate with estimating and sales teams to accurately assess Plan & Spec bids, Design Build projects, Budget Pricing, and Large Change Orders. This involves: Analyzing blueprints, specifications, and related documents to identify labor, material, and time requirements for HVAC and Mechanical system installations and repairs. Computing costs based on thorough analysis of requirements and resolving any discrepancies. Presenting estimates with numerical and descriptive information. Surveying and evaluating mechanical systems for installation and repair, providing project cost estimates and proposals for review by Install Management. Submitting bids in a timely and professional manner. Coordinating with project management and field operations teams to relay estimating phase information and review job approach and implementation. Addressing customer concerns promptly to maintain long-term relationships. Building positive relationships within the company to resolve issues, identify opportunities, and maximize profit. Documenting work comprehensively with clear reports, proposals, and required paperwork, while maintaining support information for ongoing projects. Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of the HVAC industry, HVAC industry: +5 years (Preferred), Estimating: +3 year (Preferred) Excellent time management skills and prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines Knowledge of Quotesoft is critical, to build assemblies into data base, adjust current data base labor units, track costs vs. estimate to adjust for future competitive bids. An outgoing personality with strong communication and negotiation skills Initiative; self-motivated and driven self-starter with high integrity.
