We're just built to be better. We are a great company. Come join us! Atlas is hiring Special Inspector II for the Tri-State Area (NJ, NY, PA). Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform daily observations of construction/ project sites in tri-state areas and ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications. Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Prepares detailed written reports detailing findings, observations, and test results. Performs various Special Inspections related to Structural Steel, Structural Welding, Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) Systems, Mass Timber and Firestopping Perform various Special Inspections related to Energy Code Compliance, Tenant Protection Plans Implements Atlas' Think 12 safety philosophy and follows our Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures. Requirements Minimum Requirements: Must be able and willing to work some weekends and occasional overtime. Must be capable to document, prepare and submit observation data, time and expense data using a smart phone or tablet computer. Ability to clearly provide and receive detailed information through oral communication. Must have a valid driver's license. Must successfully complete background and motor vehicle record check. Ability to follow Construction Site Safety Precautions. Technical Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates who is actively registered with one (1) or more of the following technical credentials: ICC Master Special Inspector ICC Structural Steel Welding Special Inspector ICC Structural Steel Bolting Special Inspector ICC Spray-applied Fireproofing Special Inspector ICC Tall Mass Timber Special Inspector ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector ICC Residential/Commercial Mechanical Inspector ICC Residential/Commercial Energy Inspector AWS Certified Welding Inspector ASNT Nondestructive Testing Level II NJDCA Special Inspector License (Any Corresponding Category to the Above Credentials Listed) Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to occasionally kneel and squat. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold). Compensation: $40- $60 per hour The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law.
