Practice Established in 1980, the Animal Clinic of Casselberry has been proudly serving the local community and surrounding areas for over four decades. Our clinic has become a trusted destination for pet owners seeking high-quality veterinary services. Our mission at the Animal Clinic of Casselberry is to provide compassionate, quality veterinary care for every pet who walks through our doors. We are committed to treating each animal with the same level of care and respect that we would want for our own furry family members. Position Purpose The Animal Clinic of Casselberryis excited to add another veterinarian to our great two-doctor team! Our support staff consists of 4 technicians and 3 assistants that make sure our doctors are never without an extra hand. Our team is fun, easy to work with, and full of great personalities. Our new doctor would have a 4-day work week with no weekend responsibilities . Our hours of operation our Mon-Fri from 7:30 AM to 6 PM. We see patients from 8:30 AM to 5 PM with a two-hour break midday to catch up on any notes, see drop offs, and get lunch. We welcome DVMs of all experience levels and would eagerly provide a new graduate with needed mentorship! About the area: We are located in the heart of Central Florida! The area offers residents a desirable mix of urban convenience and natural beauty. We are close in proximity to Orlando, so anyone can easily access world-renowned attractions and entertainment venues while still enjoying a more serene suburban lifestyle. We have numerous parks, lakes, and outdoor recreational areas for those interested in hiking, boating, and picnicking. Additionally, the city's diverse community, excellent schools, and affordable housing options make it an attractive destination for anyone looking to start a family. Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end of life care. Maintain patients' medical records. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
