TITLE: Maintenance Worker REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance & Facilities or designee FLSA: Non-exempt GRADE: H WORK CALENDAR: 253 FTE: 1.0 REVISED DATE: 10/08/2014 SUMMARY: To provide students with a safe, attractive and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs miscellaneous repairs and services as assigned Installs, repairs and relocates heavy equipment as assigned Makes minor plumbing and electrical repairs Marks athletic field Repairs walls, roofs and floors Repairs and varnishes wooden desks, chairs, tables and other furniture Sets up sound and other equipment as required Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality Other job related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints ( IVP ) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC) Experience: One (1) year experience in a maintenance related field Abilities: Read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals Write general correspondence and speak effectively with others Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms Reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
