Specific Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsSafely and competently perform troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a wide variety of equipment, in both inside and outdoor applications in a continuous operational environment.Analyzes and interprets one lines, wiring diagrams, sketches and drawings to select a logical approach to troubleshooting, tracing, and testing circuits to determining replacement or repair needs of equipment.Regularly use electrical testing instruments, hand tools, and machinery to install, repair, connect, disconnect, and/or replace electrical systems and supporting infrastructure.Performs electrical isolation of equipment for safety of self and others as part of isolation lock out tag out while minimizing interference to , repair, install, and wire all electrical devices and circuits 480V and below in the plant.Work with all types and sizes of motors, transformers, circuit breakers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, VFD's, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, conduit and fittings, wire and cable, hardware, insulations, solder, repair and replacement parts, cables, insulators, conduit, etc.Perform work requiring a thorough working knowledge of electrical principles wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation, and application of equipment.Be willing and interested in learning additional skills beyond traditional electrical skills to become a cross-functional crafts-person.Provide technical advice, quality control, problem solving, troubleshooting, and repair consequences of equipment failure and repair errors. Participate in continuous improvement processes.Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and elevated work platforms as required to facilitate work. Work in shop or field as spect and keep tools and work area in clean and orderly condition.Promote and demonstrate a positive work attitude and atmosphere.Obey, support and enforce all Pilkington/NSG Safety procedures and policies.Training Requirements Equipment specific training as new equipment is added to the process. Lock Out/Tag Out Fork Truck and Aerial Lifts Hazardous Materials as required by Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies.Education/Experience RequirementsHigh School diploma or GEDAssociates Degree or 2-year technical school degree/certification or completion of an apprenticeship program. May consider equivalent experience.Experience:Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.Team player with the ability to work collaborativelyPositive, high energy, and :Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience; SAP and eMaint preferred, not mandatoryUnderstanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instrumentsAbility to demonstrate job duties as it relates to experienceWritten and onsite hands on assessment testingAbility to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing prioritiesPhysical Demands:Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.Occasionally exposed to plant environment including noise, dust, dirt and vibrations, extreme climate changes / changes in weatherAbility to work at elevated work stationsAvailability to work for extended periods during emergency repair workAvailability as needed to work on both a scheduled and call-out basis, and the ability to work at the assigned job site.Willing to work shift work and assist in other areas of department or site as needed.Job schedule/working hours are determined by crew assigned- unless modified by supervisor due to emergency needs.Job Type: Full-timeEducation benefits: Tuition reimbursementSchedule:12 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayNight shiftOvertimeWeekend availability
