Posting Details Position Information Job Title Web Services Support Specialist Job Description The Web Services Support Specialist provides support to Sarah Lawrence College (SLC) students, faculty, and staff for internal-facing web applications and services: campus web portal, learning management system, scheduling system, and other web-based technologies and services, as well as additional support for video conferencing services. This position reports to the Web Services Training & Support Manager and is part of the Web Services Team. This position is hybrid, requiring some days on campus. Schedule will be negotiated during the hiring process. Essential Duties Summary Responsibilities Provide timely and thorough support of web applications and services to the college community via ticketing platform, email, phone, and virtual and in-person scheduled meetings (as needed) Escalate, transfer, and refer support tickets Provide data on support metrics as needed Assist in providing and maintaining support documentation Collaborate with Web Services Team members on user-focused solutions Continuously develop skillset through attending trainings, keeping current on product listservs, and engaging with other resources Other duties as assigned Skills Strong problem-solving skills Concise yet comprehensive written and verbal communication Quick learner and able to work independently while retaining a team focus Driven to provide creative, flexible troubleshooting and workarounds Able to patiently support users with differing technical abilities Excellent, demonstrated customer service abilities Ability to translate feedback into quality improvements Thorough, with an attention to detail Positive attitude Required Qualifications Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Some college (degree not required) Experience providing technical support for web applications and services Familiarity with managing requests via ticketing system (Zendesk experience a plus) Experience using learning management system(s) or other online learning tools Video conferencing experience, particularly Zoom Some knowledge of HTML and CSS Experience using MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Higher education work experience Campus portal management experience Experience with learning management system content administration Salary $55,000 - $59,000 Position Type Full Time Posting Detail Information Posting Number S00399P Open Date Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants
