Industrial Electrician

A well established mechanical contractor in the Mercer County, NJ area is looking for a Journeyman electrician to join their team! Great chance to join an organization that has been in business for over 60 years! Duties/Responsibilities:Install complete electrical raceways systems such as EMT, RMC, PVC, cable tray, troughs and more.* Install wires and cables through electrical raceways.* Install panelboards, switchboards, switchgears, MCC, and control panels.* Install various forms of switching and receptacle outlet devices.* Troubleshoot electrical and controls circuitry and devices up to 480VAC.* Install various forms of luminaires.* Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).* Install motors, transformers, and generators.* Install communications, ethernet, and fiber optic lines.* Install VFDs, PLC, control relays, power supplies, safety relays, proximity switches, and otherinstrumentation and control devices.* Test electrical systems installation to ensure proper installation and operation.* Connect electrical systems to utility power.* Participate in continuous safety and electrical education.* Travel to different job sites.* Work overtime, nights, weekends and or holidays as needed.* Perform other related duties as assigned.* Ensures housekeeping conformance of jobsite, including trailers, trucks, laydown, and waste storageareas, to Marshall and/or customer standards.* Develops and maintains their own technical competence.* Completes other tasks as assigned by Service Rep or Foreman.Job RequirementsEducation and Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent.- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or at least five (5) years of experience working in theelectrical industry.Physical Requirements:* Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.* Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.* Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
