Overview: The Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture Team is responsible for providing technical solutions to new & existing customers with regard to hardware infrastructure, software, cloud solutions and service offerings that meet our customer's needs. The Dedicated Pre-Sales Solutions Architect is assigned to a specific account management team and owns all technical aspects of a sales campaign, including collaboration with other pre-sales and post-sales subject matter experts, the hand off to the consulting / services team; and reports to the Manager of Solutions Architecture. The Dedicated Pre-Sales Solutions Architect is typically aligned to one specific Senior Account Manager sales and acts as a business partner in all sales campaign planning and account management duties in the for the clients assigned or managed by that sales team. This role is responsible for actively driving and managing the presales process directly with both WEI customers as well as external OEM's, external partners along with both WEI's internal and external Sales team. Each member of the Solutions Architecture team must possess the ability to maintain deep knowledge across the WEI solutions portfolio and articulate the desired technology and product portfolio, and its positioning to both business and technical users. Primarily engaged in a pre-sales technical consultancy role, the Dedicated Solutions Architect will provide technical assistance and guidance during the Presales process and prior to designing a solution by identifying the customers technical and business requirements, consulting with technical teams both internal and external to WEI about various capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on proposal activities. The ultimate goal for the Dedicated Pre-sales Solutions Architect is to establish themself as the technical thought leader and trusted technical advisor for each of their clients. Responsibilities : Possess deep Datacenter Infrastructure, Enterprise Cloud Solutions and End User Computing expertise. To attend meetings with both existing and potential customers of WEI to determine technical and business requirements and ensure that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution. Possess the ability to answer and educate WEI customers on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to implementation desired solutions. Uncover Customer business requirements, define strategy, provide contrasting alternative approaches and building strategic relationships. Size and configure technical solutions in a professional manner and within agreed upon timeframes. Required to structure and produce compelling sales proposals (SOW's) as well as create technical documentation outlining the cost savings, return on investment and/or business benefits to WEI customers. Develop and produce overall Technology Solutions including High Level Designs (HLDs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Bill of Materials (BoMs) Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally including at events, seminars, webinars, and at customer and partner meetings. Builds productive relationships internally and externally, fostering a collaborative teamwork environment by keeping colleagues updated on all business activities on a regular basis. Ability to understand customer business drivers and risks involved with the customer and to WEI. Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm and convert high-level directives into high value opportunities. Provide accurate and timely management information, to include activity reports, project forecasts, and KPI's. Collaborate with other Pre-sales Solutions Specialists while working together with the Virtualization and Cloud Solutions, Network, Security and other Practice Managers and Subject Matter Experts to create and present proposed solutions to customers. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; good judgment, problem solving and resolution skills. Adhere to all of WEI's Quality and Business Processes Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly. Very strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative abilities among all levels of management as well as technical and non-technical customers. Qualifications: 5+ years Pre-Sales experience preferred. Data Center Architecture experience is required. Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience working as a technical lead in a sales campaign. Extensive knowledge of the following data center and IT solutions: storage, networking, compute, virtualization, data protection, data center management / automation, Public/Hybrid/Private cloud computing, end-user-computing and security. Ability to execute under pressure, leverage and influence others to achieve results. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong presentation skills. Must be independent, self-motivated and possess a good attitude. Must be able to work well in both team and partner environments. Must be obsessed with customer service and satisfaction.
