Job Details Job Location Fidelity Hotel - Cleveland, OH Salary Range $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Description FIDELITY HOTEL is hiring for a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Fidelity Hotel is an adaptive reuse project located at 1940 E. 6th Street in the historic 103-year-old Baker Building. Fidelity Hotel will have 97 guest rooms & suites, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtfully curated art. The property will feature a full-service restaurant, bar, event & meeting spaces, and a private dining room. Fidelity Hotel is an homage to Cleveland's long-standing ideals. JOB OVERVIEW The objective of a Maintenance Technician is to exceed guest expectations of the overall maintenance, functionality, and ambiance of the property grounds, interior and exterior. Anticipated January 1 start date. What you'll do: Adheres to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction. Communicates with Front Desk staff, Maintenance Manager, and/or the General Manager regarding grounds related problems or issues that require immediate attention. Performs daily inspection of property for maintenance issues. Trains new staff members Cleans and maintains all exterior landscape lighting Performs necessary room touch-ups and repairs - including furniture, fixtures, basic electrical, basic plumbing and HVAC system repair Helps the Maintenance Manager ensure the property passes all city, safety and ADA codes Performs all regularly scheduled maintenance operations (filters, paint, updates, furniture change-out, etc.) Maintains all equipment/tools; report condition of all equipment/tools and notify General Manager when broken, lost, etc Manages offsite maintenance and landscaping purchasing Maintains organization and cleanliness of warehouse area Coordinates special projects with other managers and staff Communicates with Housekeeping staff regarding room cleanliness/condition Responsible for the maintenance of company vehicles Assists other staff when needed Problem-solves and implements methods to improve department Attends relevant meetings as directed Who you are: You have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree. You have a 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred. You are able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace. You are able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. You are able to write routine reports and correspondence. You are able to speak effectively before guests and groups of co-workers.
