Description Position: Pediatrician (Contract) Reports to: Program Manager Work Location: Los Angeles, CA 90018 and in the client's homes Compensation: Competitive Pay Schedule: Flexible - 2 Days per week Who We Are: ECF was founded in 1946 by a group of parents and community activists who sought to establish a day training program as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The mission of ECF is to provide the highest quality services for children and adults who are challenged with developmental, learning, and emotional barriers - empowering them to reach their greatest potential. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Under direction the Program Manager will provide services to children ages 0-3, who have or are at risk of having developmental delays, and their families in a manner that is congruent with ECF's mission. Essential Duties: Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries. Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients' information and histories. Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care. Advising patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention. Conducting research and remaining up to date on current trends, discoveries, and developments in the field. Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members. Monitoring patients' conditions and progress. QUALIFICATIONS Education/ License: Doctor of Medicine-Pediatrics residency. Certification through the American Board of Pediatricians Experience: 10 years of experience providing services to children ages 0-3 in a healthcare setting. Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: Ability to assess developmental delays in children ages 0-3 years. Bi-lingual (English/Armenian or English/Spanish). Work well independently and as part of a team. Computer skills sufficient for report writing. REQUIREMENTS Valid Class C California driver's license and insurable driving record. Pass a DOJ/FBI background investigation First Aid and CPR certification. Pay Range $72,818.00 Annually to $90,189.00 Annually
