Job Description Jefferies is seeking creative, high-energy and driven Reliability platform engineer with hands-on development and support skills to provide coverage for our Credit /Market Risk platform. You are ideal for this position if you are a forward-thinking, committed, and enthusiastic software engineer who is passionate about technology. What you'll do Leverage their knowledge base and technical skills to analyze and resolve intricate problems related to the Risk platform. Performance tuning : Collect and analyze metrics from applications, DBs and application infrastructure to help find faults and tune performance . System design : Participate in system design consulting, capacity planning, and platform management . Automation : Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts . Risk management : Identify and manage risks that could disrupt software development . Incident response : Manage emergency incident response and practice sustainable incident response. Monitoring : Create dashboards and alerting systems to ensure services are operating correctly . Backup plans : Create backup plans in case of an emergency, such as disaster recovery plans . Collaboration : Collaborate with other teams, such as maintenance teams and project engineers. What experience you need Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 4+ years experience working with software design and Java, Python,Perl,Shell, and JavaScript programming languages. 2+ years experience with implementing Observability tooling like open telemetry. 4+ years experience hands on experience with Oracle 19x including complex performance tunning . 2+ years experience with software testing, performance, and quality engineering techniques and strategies. 4+ years experience with TWS or Autosys and managing large batches. What could set you apart Self-starter that identifies/responds to priority with minimal supervision. Experience with backend technologies such as JAVA/J2EE, SpringBoot, SOA and Microservices. Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Github) and build tools like Maven & Gradle. Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP). Relational databases (e.g. Oracle 19x ). Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Github). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Automated Testing: JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, SoapUI. Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $150,000-$200,000 The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
