Job Details Level Undisclosed Job Location La Quinta NYC Central Park - New York, NY Remote Type N/A Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range Undisclosed Travel Percentage Undisclosed Job Shift First/ Day Job Category Hospitality - Hotel Description POSITION SUMMARY Clean and supply all daily assigned rooms and report all damage, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities or theft in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations. To include but not limited to: (80%) Picking up trash. Changing linen and making the bed. Cleaning entire bathroom. Sweeping and dusting guest room. Cleaning the windows and balcony Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety and security procedures and regulations. (5%) Receive assigned section keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Executive Housekeeper. Turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift. (5%) Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction. (5%) Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in room. (3%) Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed. (2%) Miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed Qualifications Knowledge and Skills: Education: No formal education required. Experience: Prior housekeeping experience desirable. Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate in English. Must have the ability to clean rooms during an eight-hour working day. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Ability to meet standards of appearance. Can communicate well with guests. No. Of employees supervised: None. Travel Required: None. Hours Required: Scheduled days and times may vary based on need and occupancy. Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying Describe the type(s) of required lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying to include objects, weights and frequency. Constantly pushing loaded supply cart from room-to-room, carrying tote tray with replacement amenities from department to assigned floor, arranging drapery and replacement linen, carrying dirty linen to laundry shoot, operating vacuum. Bending/Kneeling Describe the type(s) of required bending and/or kneeling to include when, why and how often. Constant bending and kneeling to clean bathroom, vanity and making beds. Dusting requires bending to reach low areas on furniture. Mobility Describe the type(s) of mobility required to include distances and % of time involved. Movement to reach all areas of responsibility to include: closet shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under beds, behind furniture. Continuous Standing Describe the reasons to include time period and frequency. Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position. Driving Describe type of vehicle, distances, % of time involved and frequency. No Driving Required. Work Environment - Inside: 100% of 8 hours. Climbing Stairs Up to approx. 40 steps 10% of 40 hour week. Hearing: Minimal Explain:Guests approach with requests and questions.
