The dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the restaurant's kitchen operations. This position involves ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and organized. The dishwasher's responsibilities contribute to the overall hygiene and smooth functioning of the restaurant's culinary operations. Key Responsibilities: Dishwashing: Clean and sanitize all dirty dishes, pots, pans, and utensils used in food preparation and service. Kitchen Equipment: Safely and efficiently clean kitchen equipment, such as blenders, mixers, grills, and ovens, ensuring they are ready for use. Utensil Maintenance: Sort, stack, and store cleaned dishes, utensils, and kitchenware in an organized manner, making them easily accessible to the kitchen staff. Trash Disposal: Regularly empty trash cans and dispose of waste according to the restaurant's guidelines, keeping kitchen and work areas clean and free from clutter. Sanitization: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation by following established cleaning procedures and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety. Team Support: Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of dishes, assisting with food prep and other tasks during peak hours. Kitchen Hygiene: Ensure that all surfaces, floors, and walls in the dishwashing area are clean, sanitized, and free from debris. Adherence to Regulations: Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operation of equipment. Maintenance: Report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance needs to the appropriate department for timely repairs.
