Restaurant Support (Runner/Busser/Porter) - The Diner

Job Details Job Location The Diner - Washington, DC Position Type PART-TIME Job Shift Graveyard 10pm - 6am Description The Tryst Trading Company food group is looking for a Support Person (Busser/Runner/Porter) to join our team of amazing individuals who share a genuine passion for creating and serving great food and drinks, and who enjoy working in a place that promotes a culture of building meaningful connections with our guests and amongst our staff. NOTE: The Diner is a 24/7 operation, and we are currently looking for Support Persons who are available to work Grave Shifts between the hours of 10pm and 6am weekday and weekends. We are also hiring for earlier shifts but hiring priority will be given to candidates who can work Grave Shifts. The ideal candidate is personable, a good communicator, works well with others, and shares our Core Values, which are listed in the qualifications below. The Support Person supports the Bar, Counter and Server staff with bussing and running products, and also acts as a Porter who maintains the areas accessible to guests. The Support Person duties include, but are not limited to: Greet and assist guests as needed. Respond to guest needs or seek immediate assistance for them. Clear and setup tables. Assist with pre-bussing. Running food and drink orders. Assist with maintaining service stations - rotating bus bins, trash removal, stocking ,etc. Monitor public restrooms and clean/stock as needed. Constantly maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform assigned Running Sidework and Closing Sidework duties. Perform tasks or duties as directed by the Manager on Duty. Be mindful of, and follow good food safety practices. Ensure guests have an enjoyable experience from the moment they enter till the time they leave. Qualifications Must be 18+ years or have parental approval. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Good oral communication skills in English are required. Additional language skills are a big plus. Demonstrated personal organization and multitasking skills. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must work well under pressure.
