Scion Nonprofit Staffing, a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for an Associate Director of Gift Processing for a nonprofit advocacy group aiming to advance democratic values for their community within the US and worldwide based in Manhattan, NYC, NY ! This is a wonderfu l full-time, direct-hire, hybrid opportunity (Tuesday and Wednesday in office, Monday, Thursday, and Friday remote). This role plays a crucial role in achieving the organization's goals by delivering timely and accurate information, exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong donor relationships. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage the gift processing function, including supervising 4 Gift Processing staff and providing backup when necessary. Routinely train staff on gift processing standards & protocols. Maintain continuous and collaborative communication with the National Development Department, Regional Offices, and IT. Coordinate with the Senior Development Director, Operations, and Associate Director, to align financial systems and procedures with Development operations and policies. Ensure processes are in place to follow up on gifts with missing, incomplete, or unclear information. Oversee the entire process for handling all pledge and gift payments. Reconcile gift revenue and accounts receivable between NetSuite, Raiser's Edge, and the bank. Prepare and distribute various financial campaign revenue reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to National Development and Regional Offices. Serve as the lead contact for colleagues requesting new appeal and fund codes, ensuring they are mapped to NetSuite for data import. Perform variance analyses to identify and explain differences between actual and budgeted revenue. Participate in the Monthly Development and Finance Forecast Meeting to discuss operational results, adjustments, and actions to address changes in projected revenue. Make follow-up adjustments to development reports based on feedback from forecast meetings. Produce and present pledge receivable aging and write-off reports. Serve as a lead member of the Management Restricted Funds Committee (MRFC) to ensure donor-restricted funds are spent in compliance with donor wishes and laws. Develop a working knowledge of the organization's gift acknowledgments, tax substantiation, and quarterly pledge reminders processes. QUALIFICATIONS: 4+ years of donor relations record-keeping experience. 4+ years of supervisory experience within a development department. Knowledge of fundraising and accounting principles. Exceptional proficiency with Raiser's Edge database system. Familiarity with general ledger systems in NetSuite preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. Proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments effectively. Track record of enhancing business process efficiency. Financially literate with robust analytical skills. Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for internal and external interactions. Highly organized with adept multitasking capabilities. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a passionate and thriving team! The salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000yr.
