NJ/NY Gotham FC ("Gotham FC" or "the Club") is a National Women's Soccer League ("NWSL") team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. The Role: The Game Day Operations Manager is responsible for managing, in part, all aspects of match day operations throughout the season. In addition, they manage the day-to-day planning, coordination, and logistics for NJ/NY Gotham FC Events. Key Responsibilities: Manage all planning and coordination of stadium and match operations for Gotham FC at Red Bull Arena. Liaise with Red Bull Arena, coordinating staffing plans, venue logistics and match day deliverables including weekly meetings, necessary site-visits, and set-up days Coordinate and collaborate with Gotham FC Soccer Ops on visiting club logistics and needs. Assist with Game Day Operations staffing across all matches, serving as a key point of contact during the season. Oversee Club Storage Facilities. Oversee Gotham FC Supporters Club needs at Red Bull Arena. Oversee Match Guide and Run of Show preparation and manage communication with various departments and key internal and external partners. Manage Operational budget, forecasting and reconciliation. Assist with the execution of all NWSL Operations policies, manuals, and templates. Assist hiring and onboarding process by interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training part-time employees (Game Day Staff). Assist with logistical needs and execution of Match Presentation vision. Assist with Credentialing and Parking needs across internal department and external Partners. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager, Game Day Operations. Managing relationships with external vendors to source equipment, supplies, and signage/branding elements. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management or a related field 5+ years of experience in event management for large sporting events, facilities and/or clubs. Experience in managing staff. Experience handling budgets. Communication skills and confidence to present verbal and written presentations and briefings to both internal and external key partners. Outstanding organization, project management skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally. Proficiency in Google Suite. Knowledge of the sport of soccer Capability & Other Characteristics: Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Demonstrate decision making and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate the ability to think strategically. Ability to bend down, crouch and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Meticulous with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines with minimal direction. High level of dedication to quality of work and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance. Legally authorized to work in the United States Location: Based at Gotham FC's business office, located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team's soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed.
