Custodial for Volkswagen of Rome Job Summary Responsible for cleaning dealership as required. Vacuums, mops and cleans floors. shampoos carpets, remove debris, empties trash receptacles, and replace linings of trash cans. Ensure customer service areas are kept neat, clean and tidy at all times. Primary responsibilities may include the following: Sweep and mop floors. Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces. Clean and disinfect all areas of the dealership Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Steam-clean carpets. Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces. Mix various cleaning agents. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean. Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants. Move furniture. Identify and report possible repairs. Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation. Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection Other duties as assigned by management Requirements: Good time management skills. Use and comply with all safety rules in all aspects of the position Ability to take direction from the Department Manager. Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Must have a flexible schedule Must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time. An applicant must be able to pass a drug test. Must have a valid Driver's License.
