JOB SUMMARY: Quality Improvement Coordinator functions as a professional administrative support person to the Quality Improvement Supervisor, program directors, supervisors and the Family Care and Adoption Case Management Team. The Quality Improvement Coordinator assures the quality of Family and Adoption Case Management services through the ongoing monitoring of case files to ascertain compliance with best practice standards, as well as accordance with the established policies and procedures of all Family Case Management stakeholders. This position will support case managers and supervisors by providing information on how they can improve with the management of their cases. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports the Quality Improvement supervisor by conducting and monitoring daily and monthly reports, requiring follow up with staff. Conducts quality assurance reviews of different job aspects for Case Management to ensure compliance with federal, state and contractual guidelines. Aides in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and tracking and reporting mechanisms for missing kids, exit interviews, and other monthly reports and safety measurements. Applicant must be proficient in Excel. Receives and tracks all incident reports, including follow up and recommendations for outcomes. Utilizes data to identify trends and reports to Improvement. Participates in all Quality Assurance activities. Assists in training of staff and staff development activities related to quality case management services and documentation. Provides staff with ongoing training and updates of policies and procedures. Assists in the areas of risk Improvement by tracking and preparing reports. Other job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree with major course work in social work, counseling, psychology, rehabilitative services, human services, or related specialty area is required. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience working with children and families with experience in a child welfare services capacity preferred with bachelor's degree. Three (3) years of relevant child welfare administrative support experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree with requisite high school diploma or equivalent. Maintains current Child Welfare Certification KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to work in a highly visible position and use effective interpersonal communication skills to respond to children and their families, and legal entities (i.e. judges, law enforcement, CLS etc.). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write concise reports within 24 hours of event or as required by program. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables. High level of organizational skills. Also, able to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach, stoop, bend, and/or kneel during an 8-12-hour day.
