Vice President of Operations About this position: •The Vice President of Operations is responsible and accountable for all facets of manufacturing operations and supply chain across four facilities. •They develop and implement the supply chain and manufacturing strategies that are in line with business objectives that result in operational excellence. •Responsibilities include overseeing safety, supply chain, production, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, facility construction/upfit, environmental services, and finite planning. •They will own the day-to-day operations of these departments in order to optimize safety, quality, delivery, productivity, efficiency, and inventory necessary to exceed customer and regulatory requirements. •This role will report to and partner with the Senior Vice President/General Manager to develop long-term strategies, systems, capabilities, and processes that propel the business towards its long-term objectives. •The VP of Operations is the senior leader responsible for of all manufacturing facilities to ensure correct enforcement of the Human/Animal Food Safety Plan along with all FDA regulations. Qualifications: •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management and/or Science Degree in related discipline •Minimum of 15 years lean manufacturing and transformation experience, with tangible results in operational performance metrics and people development (Lean Certification a plus) •Minimum of 15 years experience in leading complex processes, specifically in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, product development, or related enterprise functions •Process Engineering experience in a GMP production or pharmaceutical environment •Extensive continuous improvement knowledge, with strong proficiency in lean tools/techniques (e.g. Value Stream Analysis, TPM, Strategy Development/Deployment) •Excellent leadership skills, particularly with influencing, coaching, and teaching capabilities •Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management, hourly associates, and external partners •Ability to assign priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment •Proven track record functioning as a strategic leader and implementor of plans •In-depth understanding of business processes and related implementation •Solid knowledge of performance reporting and KPI management •Strategic acumen with expertise and capacity to challenge current thinking •Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail •Broad experience in manufacturing optimization and driving increased velocity and flow across manufacturing and business processes •Capable of operating independently and as part of a team •Dedicated, accountable, and results-oriented, with a sense of urgency •Knowledgeable in personal computer applications required (Excel, Word, Visio, and PP)
