Responsibilities: The Account Executive will be responsible for managing and servicing an assigned book of business within Alera Group Pittsburgh while also assisting in the growth of this book of business. This person will have support from additional service team members. This individual must be able to prioritize objectives in an ever?changing and fast?paced environment and demonstrate advanced knowledge of the current healthcare/insurance industry and trends. Additionally, this individual should have a proactive servicing approach, superior organization skills, a strong sense of urgency in responding to client matters on time, and advanced problem?solving skills. It is expected that this person will be available for regular face-to-face meetings internally as well as externally within a hybrid in?person/remote work environment. Gather data needed to market medical plans, obtain quotes and prepare spreadsheet analysis. Act as a liaison with our carrier partners to ensure the accuracy of carrier contracts. Become proficient in all plans and products in the assigned book of business and be an internal resource Develop, modify, and finalize professional sales presentations, written communications, and other documents. Partner with other teams to ensure client needs are met and that actions are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Manage communications from clients regarding renewal inquiries. Coordinate with employers, employees, and insurance carriers to verify insurance-related data. Master internal client management systems including Act! and Employee Navigator. Engage clients and prospects in gathering and preparing renewal information. Manage renewal and proposal processes. Negotiate, on behalf of the clients, with carriers and other service providers. Identify and assist in developing cross-selling opportunities. Perform insurance policy, coverage, and exposure reviews. Handle day-to-day service requests (sensitive administrative tasks). Conduct open enrollment meetings. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work. Prepare documents and attend client meetings. Keep up-to-date on industry developments and practices. Apply and maintain a strong working knowledge of plan designs and industry trends. Qualifications: High level of professionalism with a positive attitude. Detail-oriented & self-motivated. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Consummate, ethical professional with advanced business acumen. Proven collaboration, negotiation, and advanced problem-solving skills. State Life and Health Licensed or obtain within 3 months of employment. Thorough understanding of benefits and benefits processing (medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life, FSA, HSA, HRA, COBRA, etc.). Working knowledge of State and Federal Compliance laws. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, specifically MS Office suite. Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience. 3 or more years of client coordination and/or claims management experience in a broker or carrier organization. Remote schedule available. Be able to attend client meetings face to face. Able and willing to travel at least 25% of the time for networking, prospecting, and to client locations and industry events.
