PositionDetails Title Postdoctoral Fellow in High-Performance Electronic-Photonic Integrated Circuits School Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Department/Area Electrical Engineering Position Description A postdoctoral position is available in Prof. Gage Hills' Nano-Design Group at Harvard University. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in designing and testing high-speed transceiver circuits, with applications including high-performance electronic-photonic integrated circuits. For the post-doc position, the primary concentration would be on the electrical circuit design side, with expertise including:CMOS GHz analog front end for high-speed transceivers building blocks (data converters, power amplifiers, etc.)On-chip high-accuracy controllable oscillators for modulation and digital logic (VCOs, PLLs, etc.)On-chip wireless communication systems (THz antennas, LNAs, mixers, etc.) Basic Qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field is required by the start Qualifications Experience with integrated optics and photonics, electro-optical modulators (MZIs, MRRs, etc.)Experience with electronic design automation tools for high-frequency electromagnetic simulationsBackground in mathematics, statistics, noise analysisWillingness to expand technical skillset into new areasStrong interpersonal and mentorship skills and ability, passion for mentoring PhD students and undergraduate researchersStrong communication skills and presentation skills Special Instructions Required Documents:Curriculum VitaeCover Letter (should also include applicant's commitment to mentorship and contributing to an effective learning environment)Optional Documents:Relevant publications (up to 3) authored/co-authored by applicantSlide deck highlighting key contributions during applicant's PhD researchSEAS is dedicated to building a diverse and welcoming community and we strongly encourage applications from historically underrepresented groups.The health of our workforce is a priority for Harvard University.
