Job Details Job Location Creation Museum - Petersburg, KY Position Type Full Time Description The AV Development Design Schematic Engineer will play a vital role in designing and visualizing cutting-edge audio, video, and lighting (AVL) systems that support the mission of Answers in Genesis. This role combines technical expertise in CAD software with a passion for creating immersive and impactful AV experiences. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. Responsibilities Design & Documentation: Utilize CAD software to create detailed system designs, schematics, and documentation for new AVL installations. Collaboration: Work closely with the AV manager and installation technicians to translate project concepts into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs. Technical Accuracy: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices. Problem Solving: Anticipate and address potential design challenges, working proactively to optimize system performance and efficiency. System Visualization: Generate 3D renderings and models to communicate design intent and facilitate project planning. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest AV technologies and design trends to enhance the quality and innovation of our installations. Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done Approach all tasks with a second-mile mindset Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications Faith Commitment: Wholeheartedly agree with and sign our Statement of Faith, maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and actively participate in a local Bible-believing church. Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and the ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings. AV Knowledge: Understanding of AV system components, signal flow, and integration principles. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop creative solutions. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and completeness in all design work. Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church Education & Experience Associate's degree or equivalent in CAD drafting, engineering technology, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience using CAD software for technical design and documentation. Prior experience with AV system design or a strong interest in learning about AV technologies. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes.
