Who we are looking for: Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Regional Sales Manager. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this person will be responsible for driving revenue across the region by working with distributors and electrical contractors to secure work primarily in the Data Center, Casino, and Office markets. What you'll do: Own all areas of the sales cycle including: Find scope by careful reading of blueprints and clarifying conversations with customers. Work closely with a network of partners and assist them in delivering our value proposition to their customers. Assist estimating on developing bids and delivering quotes. Negotiate and close deals through contracts. Support our top-level strategic priorities for growth. When needed do physical "walks" of construction sites to clarify scope and safety standards. What you'll bring: The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of data center, construction, or electrical experience, ideally in the region and with established customer relationships. Additionally; Possess a technical aptitude and comfort in understanding blueprints and specifications. Ability to build out estimates and quotes. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. Strong understanding of the general construction engineer bid tender process. Ability to travel 25-50% of time and critical to the position. Within 3 months, you'll: Complete your Atkore immersion program. Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy. Gain an understanding of your team. Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns. Within 6 months, you'll: Read blueprints, document our scope, and deliver bids Find new projects and call customers to get invitations to bid Negotiate and win projects Build and grow relationships with customers and influencers Within 12 months, you'll: Understand the unique dimensions of your territory and know how to apply our value proposition to move out of "bid" lists and into partnerships Grow the region in both book-and-turn business and major projects Know where to bid on work that is a good fit and distinguish Know how increase profitability of the region by knowing where we can increase price Atkore is a four-time Great Place to Work certified company and a two-time Top Workplaces USA award winner!
