Job Summary: Quality Chevrolet GMC is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive EV Technician to join our team in Englewood, New Jersey. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring their safe and proper functioning. In addition, you will have a key role in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, including EV, engine and transmission. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive engineering and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, rotating tires, and inspecting vehicle systems - Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems, including engine and transmission - Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical resources to accurately diagnose and resolve mechanical issues - Keep accurate records of work performed and required repairs - Communicate effectively with customers to explain necessary repairs and steps taken to fix their vehicle - Keep abreast of latest automotive technology and advancements through training and self-study - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as an Automotive Technician/Eng-Trans Tech in a dealership or repair shop setting - Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive engineering and systems - Skilled in using diagnostic equipment and tools - Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Effective communication and customer service skills - Valid driver's license and clean driving record - Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
