We aspire to improve efficiency, reduce the cost, and scale the manufacturing to meet the booming green hydrogen market.We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our newly launched Hydrogen Center of Excellence (COE) in Burlington, MA. You will engage and contribute to cutting edge technology that will be integral in a greener world. Qualified applicants may be considered for more senior titles.Primary Responsibilities:Own and communicate structural analysis of electrolysis stack designs at component and assembly levels in different lifecycle conditions. Collaborate with the engineering team on electrolyzer designs and other projects requiring rigorous structural analysis per applicable codes and governing law. Optimize handling, installation, design-for-safety and transit packaging solutions for the electrolyzer product and accessories. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (or better) in Mechanical or Structural Engineering. Professional Engineering license issued by the State of Massachusetts and in current standing (MA PE is a strong preference). Proficiency in applying engineering calculations and simulation methods (ANSYS Structural) to understand complex stress-strain relationships in large assemblies. Strong track record of transacting with other product management units in quality management system workflows. Proficiency with ASME (piping B31, pressure vessel BPVC VIII.2), CE (LVD, PED), WRC, ASCE, EN13445, Euro and ISO (9001, 22734) codes and standards governing product safety and certification. Familiarity with Chinese safety standards is desirable. Basic capability with CAD modeling and drawing software (PTC Creo). Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, material handling and basic tools of fabrication, construction and metrology. Direct or indirect experience with classical and additive machining and other commercial/industrial fabrication processes. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, and demonstrated project management capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Commitment to Engineering rigor and ambitious Green Energy technology milestones within an international disciplined and collaborative new product introduction culture.
