DONOR SERVICES ASSOCIATE - TEMPSchedule: 3 days per week, 8:30 am-3:30 pm (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday except Thanksgiving week, which will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). Immediate Start.Pay: $28/hr (temp)Location: Manhattan, NYJob Summary:A Donor Services Associate is needed to assist the Donor Services Supervisor in gift processing, ensuring that gifts are categorized, tracked, and reported correctly. The associate should also provide timely and professional customer service to Donors and assist in all donor inquiries. Essential Job Functions:Complete Daily Tasks Related to Gift ProcessingImport constituent data into the databaseImport gifts and update donors' biographical data Reconcile any gift discrepancies with the gift processing vendorProduce and post daily closing reportsSupport the Donor Services (DS) Supervisor in quality assurance and revenue reportsMaintain a Trusting Relationship with DonorsAnswer donor calls promptly, providing a personalized response to their inquiriesProactively notify donors of returned checks, declined credit cards, etcWhen absent, arrange for calls to be answered promptlyAssist with Gifts Receipting & the Monthly Giving ProgramCreate and submit receipts and weekly Welcome Packets to gift processing vendorDraft communications and make phone calls to recurring donors to remind and alert them of lapses and changesAssist the Database Team with special projects as instructed by the Donor Services Supervisor and Database Manager. Creating donor and gift reports for the Development team members under supervision Mass updates of donor records in the databaseAssist with the Honor/Memorial ProgramMail-requested notifications within a week of processing each giftResponsibilities:Exercise discretion in donor and personnel matters, and issues of confidentialityCoordinate and collaborate on projects with leaders of the Development Team Actively lead and participate in team meetings and team initiativesProvide a professional presence as a spokesperson and ambassador representing all aspects of our organization to staff, visitors, volunteers, donors, and external groupsSeek opportunities for professional growth and maintain professional relationships with peers in other other duties as assignedQualifications:Understands the organization's Statement of Faith and adheres to the Code of ConductBachelor's degree preferred or applicable experienceHave at least two years of relevant work experienceExperience with a customer relationship management system (Salesforce preferred)High proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on ExcelDemonstrate ability to multi-task, learn quickly, and exercise good judgmentA high level of integrity that builds trust with internal and external stakeholdersHave strong interpersonal and customer service skillsTake direction, creatively problem-solve, and meet deadlines with excellenceWork independently and collaboratively in a team environmentBe an analytical process thinker with acute attention to detailHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsThrive in a fast-paced environmentBe self-motivated, dependable, and punctualWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
