Job Description PALLET SORTER - Zanesville, OH We are seeking a weekend Pallet Sorter to join our Zanesville team, working inside the Dollar General Distribution Center. If you have warehouse experience, a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, a Pallet Sorter position with CHEP could be a great fit! Position Purpose: The Sorter position is responsible for sorting pallets by hand for grading as they flow from the loading dock, production line and throughout the facility. This position involves tandem sorting that requires high collaboration with other team members. May leverage hand tools to remove nails or debris from pallets. Major/Key Accountabilities: Pallet Sorting Sort pallets as they are moved from loading docks to sort line/area. Removes debris and trash from pallets. Determines which pallets require repairs. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily. Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately. Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience working in an industrial, fast paced environment with industrial equipment. Ability to complete task within a timely manner with high attention to detail. Ability to understand and communicate information is essential. Willingness to Learn Hand-eye coordination Physical Requirements: Lift and carry up to 75 lbs at least 33% of their work shift. Push items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet. Pull items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet. Working Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Work requires standing for long periods of time. Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures may occur. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
