Entry Level Financial Coordinator Wright Public Entity serves as a management company providing claims administration, risk management & loss control, underwriting & marketing, and client services in New York. We also act as a TPA for Workers Compensation for various self-insured schools & municipalities in New York. This position works in conjunction with the Finance Team Leader. Its primary role is to support the Finance Unit and the processing of payments for the Workers' Compensation Department. Responsibilities: Update Vendor database in ATS as needed Generate letters to vendors requesting W-9's. Once W-9 is received, updates ATS and files form appropriately Review weekly adjuster pay sheets and correct as needed. Prints checks - maintains check log for each client Prints EOB's, warrants and check registers Process voids, refunds and recoveries in ATS Prepares and mails client financial reports inclusive of warrant, check register and associated bills Enter payments in ATS: lost time, assessments, plan and employer charges Prints 1099's Provides support to Finance Team Leader as needed. Sort paid bills daily, by client Proof actual bills against the daily and weekly warrants Investigate payment discrepancies Request and perform payments deletions as requested by Team Leader Other duties as assigned Perform Positive Pay function for specific clients Competencies: Planning/organizing - Individual prioritizes and plans the daily work load assigned to them to complete the tasks in the most efficient manner. Confidentiality - Individual exhibits a high level of confidentiality pertaining to client financial information as well as intricacies of the department itself. Individual is open to trying new things and offers suggestions in a constructive manner. Written Communication - Individual is able to correspond with both Teammates and clients in a highly effective manner through e-mail. Problem solving - Able to handle problems as they arise with the best interests of our company and the client in mind. Quality control - Individual monitors their work to ensure accuracy and thoroughness. Adaptability - Individual is able to adjust to changes in the work environment as well as the scope of the work. Safety and Security - Individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
