Our Client is a leading privately held manufacturer of consumer goods for Tier 1 brands we all know and love. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to join their team and provide capable leadership Responsibilities: Overall responsibility and accountability for all Plant Operations Direct reports include Accounting, Purchasing, Laboratory, HR, Engineering & Maintenance, Scheduling, Customer Service, Shipping/ Receiving/ Warehousing, Health, Safety & Environment and Factory Supervisory staff Dotted line relationships include IT, Sales, R&D and Finance Works with staff and Finance to create an annual operating budget and tracks and reports progress against the budget Works closely with Sales and Scheduling to ensure that the plant is satisfying sales orders while maximizing operational efficiency Has ultimate responsibility for the health and safety of all plant and office employees, for the management of worker compensation claims and for compliance with local, state and federal environment regulations Ensures supervisors and managers treat employees fairly and work to optimize their efficiency and performance and maintain morale within the organization Maintains ultimate responsibility for quality and is seen as its champion Develops policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant and warehouse Works with staff, Engineering and employees to develop capital improvement plans for the plant and warehouse Qualifications: Demonstrated financial acumen with a history of making key decisions that affect the bottom line of a manufacturing facility. You should be able to talk about your impact to the P&L in specifics Excellent trouble shooting skills Maintains a detailed understanding of all aspects of the business Has exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills with employees, staff, suppliers and customers Minimum 8 years in a senior management position in a manufacturing University Degree in Engineering Proven track record in operating under a variety of business conditions Compensation Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year Variable Bonus: Eligible for a competitive variable bonus based on individual and company performance.
