Description Overview: Provide overall direction for field installation of assigned project. Owns direct responsibility for "field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety" on assigned project. Represents RMS on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope. High Level Job Functions: Foreman Level Attends and contributes to the various Operations Meetings Blueprint reading, coordination, layout, sketching, and materials take off Material, tool, and equipment handling, which includes ordering, receiving, placing and returning Contract scope delineations-Must be able to confirm that construction drawings and specs agree with contract scope and to respond to general contractor's requests concerning any scope limits Time keeping and other administrative duties, which includes but isn't limited to daily reports, submittal logs, RFI status, etc. Ensuring that safety standards and other company programs are implemented and effective Building code compliance Quality Control Transport prefabricated parts to construction sites for assembly and installation Production management Superintendent Level All foreman level functions Trade stacking and phasing; influence project scheduling Detailed Job Functions: Getting Information Read blueprints Read production layouts Read technical drawings Read tape measure Making Decisions and Solving Problems Determine project methods and procedures Make independent judgment in assembly procedures Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events Understand construction specifications Handling and Moving Objects Assemble and install pipe sections, fittings, or plumbing fixtures Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications Pressure test piping system or equipment for leaks Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards Adhere to safety procedures Perform safety inspections in construction or resource extraction setting Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment Maintain or repair work tools or equipment Repair or replace gas, steam, sewer, or water piping or fixtures Controlling Machines and Processes Braze metal parts or components together Solder metal parts or components together Use acetylene welding/cutting torch Use arc welding equipment Use braze-welding equipment Use hand or power tools Use measuring devices in construction or extraction work Use pipe fitting equipment Use pressure gauges Use soldering equipment Weld together metal parts, components, or structures Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge Use basic plumbing techniques Use building or land use regulations Use combination welding procedures Use oral or written communication techniques Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings Performing General Physical Activities Apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings Build or repair structures in construction, repair, or manufacturing setting Cut, bend, or thread pipe for gas, air, hydraulic, or water lines Climb ladders or scaffolding Install plumbing assemblies Install underground storm, sanitation, or water piping systems Move or fit heavy objects Repair or replace plumbing systems Estimating the Quantifiable Characteristics of Products, Events, or Information Determine material or tool requirements Determine installation, service, or repair needed Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards Adhere to safety procedures Experience Requirements: Foreman Level Must have minimum of 1 year of experience managing a minimum of 4-5 workers Understanding of all phases of duct and equipment installation Must have advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field Must manage to the budget, plan to the schedule, plan for the unexpected, and meet or exceed project deadlines while keeping safety first Excellent organizational, communication and supervisory skills required. Superintendent Level All foreman level requirements Must have minimum of 2 years of experience managing a minimum of 10-15 workers Must have experience supervising projects of $500,000+ Physical Requirements: Spend Time Bending or Twisting the Body Spend Time Climbing Ladders, Scaffolds, and Stairs Spend Time Using Your Hands to Handle, Control, or Feel Objects, Tools, or Controls Spend Time Walking and Standing Able to Work at Heights
