The Automotive Technician performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.This pay for this position starts at $29 / hour. In addition, you can earn an additional $2 / hour with the Maryland State Inspection and an additional $1.50 / hour for ASE certifications after the required minimum of 4. Responsibilities include:Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspection including tires, brakes, and all fluid levelsPerform preventive maintenance (oil change and tire rotation) service according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelinesRepair and replace tiresReplacement of wearable parts (i.e. bulbs, wipers)Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repairComply with part and inventory tracking proceduresProvide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all servicesMay process new fleet, fuel reclamation or buy backsFollow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standardsMaintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standardsPerform related duties as required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteransQualificationsTwo years of automotive repair training at an accredited technical/trade school OR a minimum of one year of repair experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.4+ current and valid ASE certifications required (A1-A8, L1 or L3).Must have a valid drivers licenseMust have a satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years, no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years) employment reference, education and social security.Understanding of GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty proceduresis a plus.Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require workauthorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.Must be at least 18 years of age.We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as required by, and consistent with, applicable law.
