Vaco is working with an industry leading specialty manufacturing company that is looking for a Director of Finance for a new role that was recently created. Ideal candidates will have a strong manufacturing or distribution industry and plant finance background and be able to lead a finance team and work collaboratively with leaders of other departments daily. Even though this is a director level role we are still looking for someone that wants to be hands on in day-to-day plant finance functions while they lead a team.Ideal candidates will have some type of combination with most of the following areas:-A good mix of operations and finance experience as the Operations Finance piece will be very important in this role -Experience at the Director level with a company or business unit with over 500 million in annual revenue -Ability to perform product cost analysis and overall customer cost analysis to determine profitability and resource allocation for all categories -Strong background with budgeting, forecasting, and developing and maintaining a cost analysis program -Ability to create KPI's and other efficiency metrics while teaching them to the accounting and finance team including Plant Controllers -Ability to create reports from scratch, automate reporting, and provide insight through dashboards -Assist with strategic M&A decisions and diligence and participate in board and C-Level meetings and presentations -Experience with ERPs, large accounting systems software, and strong Excel skills will be requiredA Finance person with a strong Operations background will most likely be the best profile for this position. Any experience working for a private equity platform company or a private equity portfolio company would be a huge plus but not required. The salary range for this role is 170k to 200k with a 15% to 20% bonus and there is a hybrid work schedule being offered once up and running.
