Position Title: WelderLocation: Auburn Hills Shifts Needed: Day or NightDays | Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p Nights | Monday- Friday 4p-2:45a + Saturday 12p-6pCharacter of PositionAs a Welder, you will be responsible for managing the machines that manufacture and repair metal structures, tools, and equipment. Responsibilities MIG and TIG weld small and large components Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errorsFollow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses, protective masks, and safety shoesMonitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperatureWeld components in diverse positions (i.e., flat, vertical, and overhead positions)Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance Other duties as assignedSkillsAbility to read blueprints in detailAbility to identify and find specificationsKnowledgeable in geometric tolerances (understand and recognize all symbols)Thorough understanding of general tolerancesComprehend sections and viewsUnderstand reference systemAbility to locate and read stock list on drawingAbility to operate pressesUse of hand tools (drill motors, grinders, etc.)Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications (fit and tack)Experience Certified in TIG and MIG weldingEducation High School Diploma or equivalentDue to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
