We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications As a highly-skilled Nurse in Same Day Surgery you will provide excellent patient care to individuals during pre-operative and/or post-operative invasive procedures. Our team works hard to support each other, we are looking for an amazing nurse who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role: + You will be able to obtain and document patients medical history/assessments in a timely manner, interventions, pre and post-operative documentation in Meditech to meet state and hospital guidelines and policies. + You will provide pre and pot-operative education in a manner that is appropriate for patient understanding and learning ability + You will interact with physicians, nursing staff, other department, patient and family in a positive and professional manner. + You will evaluate and document histories and assesses risk factors that may interfere with administration of anesthesia or delay surgical procedure. + You will provide and respond to patient needs and emergencies appropriately including but not limited to pre and post-operative care, pulmonary, nutritional, IV therapy and pain management. Qualifications: + Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License + American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (offered in new employment orientation). + Previous SDS or critical care experience required.
