Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Nuclear Security Trainer is to develop, maintain, administer, and deliver all Security Training to satisfy the regulatory requirements for Personnel Access Authorization Requirements for Nuclear Plants, Fitness For Duty, Unescorted Access Training and Training on the elements that make up the Station Insider Mitigation Program and will be responsible for managing the computer based training (CBT) lab. The Trainer will also be responsible for the training required to qualify new Security Officers and their annual requalification of existing Security Officers and includes classroom training, firearms training and dynamic learning activities. This training satisfies the regulatory requirements for General Criteria for Security Personnel found in 10 CFR 73 Appendix B, Regulatory Guide 5.75 and the Station's Security Training and Qualification Plan. In addition, the Trainer is responsible to oversee all range activities and repair, rebuild and inspect all weapons, both duty weapons and MILES weapons, and ensure weapons are in safe operating condition Job Responsibilities • Clear understanding of systematic approach to training (SAT) • Coordinating, implementing and managing all aspects of the Computer Based Training Lab (CBT LAB) for the Salem & Hope Creek Generating Stations • Developing, coordinating and implementing all aspects of Security Training to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 73 Appendix B. • Create, revise and maintain test questions and test banks IAW TQ-AA-201 Examination Security and Administration. • Manage the training resource folders IAW VTQ-AA-210. • Manage Nantel Proctor and Administrator personnel to include qualifications. • Responsible for the documentation and maintenance of security training records. • Create, revise and maintain test questions and test banks for Security Training Modules. • Conduct IQT assessments for critical security tasks. • Responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of all Nuclear Security Training materials, lesson plans and procedures, as well as on-line content. • Provide assistance with In-processing support both outage and on-line, as needed. • Provide indirect supervision regarding safety issues of supervisors and officers when they are on the range or using M.I.L.E.S. weapons, and ensure safety and firearms rules are adhered • Record accurate weapons testing and maintenance data on appropriate compliance forms/logs. • Support Inspections: NOS, NRC • Oversee all quarterly FOF drills and proficiency challenges • Conduct FOF exercises • Conduct initial and annual controller training. • Conduct all initial and continual training for SSS, CAS/SAS, SS, and adversary Job Specific Qualifications Required • High school diploma, GED or equivalent • 5 years experience in Nuclear Security and/or Station Training or equivalent military or law enforcement experience • Familiar with Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) • Good organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain highly confidential information • Effective oral and written communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Meet and maintain nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access • Must have a valid US Driver's License Desired • Working knowledge of Systematic Approach to Training(SAT) principles • Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office, SAP, Excel, Power point, SSIS, NANTEL, Empower and Vision • Previous classroom, range instruction and firearms experience • Bachelor's Degree • OC spray instructor qualification • Armorer rifle qualification • National Rifle Associate (NRA) Weapons Instructor Qualification Minimum Years of Experience 5 years of experience Education High School Certifications None Noted Disclaimer Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
