Job DescriptionJob Title: Product Owner/ Business Analyst - Commercial LendingLocation: Johnston, RIJob Type: Full-TimeJob DescriptionWe are looking for a talented Product Owner / Business Analyst with experience in commercial lending to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining, managing, and delivering technology solutions that meet the needs of our commercial lending operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in lending products and processes, and the ability to work with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership:Define and prioritize product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for commercial lending the product roadmap and work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.Serve as the primary point of contact for development teams, providing clear guidance and ensuring the successful delivery of product increments.Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:Collaborate with commercial lending teams and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.Map out end-to-end processes and workflows for commercial lending products, identifying areas for improvement and use cases, process flows, and system diagrams to illustrate business needs and ensure accurate development.Stakeholder Management & Communication:Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical regular meetings with stakeholders to communicate project status, gather feedback, and manage workshops and meetings to understand complex lending requirements and solutions.Agile Project Management:Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that development aligns with sprint goals and delivers high business value.Partner with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product & Process Analysis:Conduct data analysis on loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and reporting processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.Support data integration initiatives between various systems in the lending ecosystem.Evaluate product performance metrics and use insights to drive enhancements and & Risk Management:Ensure that product features meet regulatory and compliance requirements specific to commercial lending (e.g., KYC, AML, data privacy).Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant banking and lending Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role, with at least 2+ years in the commercial lending space.Domain Expertise:In-depth understanding of the commercial lending lifecycle, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and loan with key commercial lending products (e.g., term loans, credit lines, asset-based lending).Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance in lending (e.g., KYC, AML, regulatory reporting).Technical Skills:Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques, such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and process mapping.Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).Basic understanding of system integrations, data flows, and SQL (preferred).Soft Skills:Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Preferred QualificationsCertifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or equivalent.Additional Experience: Knowledge of commercial lending platforms (e.g., nCino, Loan IQ) and experience in lending product management.BenefitsBe part of a forward-thinking team in financial services, driving impactful solutions in the commercial lending petitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative work environment with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on lending products and processes.
