Team Overview:The HIE (Health Information Exchange) consists of different development teams working with InterSystems HealthShare as the core application. Our HIE development team is responsible for building custom solutions using the InterSystems stack of technologies, Cloud Services (Mainly focused on Microsoft Azure and GCP), Custom tools using /Python/JavaScript frameworks. Northwell HIE platform consists of 100s of applications feeding HL7/CCD/Flat File/XML/APIs etc. The goal of the team is to consolidate all the data and make it available for consumers while executing clinical workflows. Job Description Collaborates and coordinates with other departments. Provides leadership to team members and supervisors; reviews company and customer objectives; resolves issues regarding contract compliance. Job Responsibility Provides leadership to Software Development, Engineering and Services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding designing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting applications or the health systems software, which may include web or mobile applications. Develops and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Establishes functional requirements and reviews solutions to ensure organizational needs are met. Works with the technical teams to analyze acquisition requirements. Advises all levels of staff and management regarding contract terms and conditions, applicable policies and procedures, and best practices to advance IT department business objectives. Oversees implementation of one or more software development methodologies. Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations; advises project leaders regarding contractual issues; works with vendors and organization teams to understand and resolve contractual issues. Collaborates with stakeholder departments throughout negotiation to facilitate contract implementation. Monitors active contracts and helps IT staff with ensuring contractual commitments are understood and met. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required. Highly Preferred: Healthcare experience focusing on data mapping, translation, and normalization Strong knowledge of Healthcare interoperability standards: HL7, CDA, CCDA, CCD, FHIR Must be familiar with healthcare data structure, components and relationships Must be familiar with identity management, and merge/move workflows Must be well conversant with SDLC processes and methodologies Self-starter with strong communication, presentation, relationship building and strategic analytical skills Strong time management, goal setting and task prioritization abilities *Additional Salary DetailThe salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).The salary range for this position is $130,300-$228,000/year Salary ranges shown on third-party job sites may not accurately reflect ranges provided by Northwell Health.
