Role/ Department: Fiduciary Audit Specialist/Audit Services The Audit Specialist is a subject matter expert that has a strong technical understanding of products, services or regulations for the Business Unit they support. The key responsibilities of the role include: • Providing strategic thought leadership in designing/maintaining a fiduciary risk audit coverage strategy and executing the Fiduciary Risk Practice Lead Framework. Giving Audit teams feedback and advice in all aspects of fiduciary risk and fiduciary activities. • Draft board reporting, both at the legal entity and corporate levels, to provide insight to board members on the key risks and themes identified by the Audit Team • Interact with global regulators to articulate Audit's fiduciary risk view, and ongoing coverage and assessment of fiduciary business processes and activities. • Functions in various roles on audit engagements, including fiduciary subject matter expert or providing consulting or oversight functions based on the needs of the team • Provides fiduciary technical expertise to the Audit Team and uses sound audit practices • Maintains familiarization and technical expertise with the assigned business unit(s) including organizational structure, personnel, activities and products, new product development, financial performance and risk and problem areas • Monitor fiduciary regulatory updates and provide team with guidance on impact of changes in regulatory environment and how to adjust audit plan and coverage to support. • Interacts, partners and presents to Senior and Executive Management to understand the fiduciary risks within the business, business changes and other significant events that could significantly affect the business and/or the audit plan • Manages and performs special projects and other audit execution work as assigned • Participates in meetings with business units, Senior, and Executive Management to discuss audit results • Communicates with partners at all levels, developing and presenting recommendations on operations and controls for the business unit • Utilizes understanding of various Corporate units to ensure operations, services, and systems have proper audit controls in place (i.e., design of the control environment) • Evaluates corporate management, business processes, business controls and operating practices during audits and consulting/monitoring engagements • Applies analytical skills to review information and determine potential control weaknesses • Develops the audit teams technical understanding of fiduciary risk including maintaining and development of new fiduciary training. • Represents Audit Services or Steering Committees and/or Working Groups • Drive and support change in the Audit Services team in line with the vision and strategy Skills/Qualifications: • 7 to 10 Years of experience with be audit /risk/compliance, including in the fiduciary space. • Subject matter expertise in fiduciary risk and fiduciary activities, both in North America and globally • Thorough understanding of project management principles in relation to people, systems and processes, to provide value quickly and enable change; and, • Interest and aptitude for identifying problems of varying complexity and developing sound and actionable solutions within given constraints • Analytical and organizational skills are necessary to conduct audits • Strong report writing • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff. • A College or University degree The successful candidate will benefit from having: • Previous internal audit management experience is preferred • Professional certifications (e.g., CFIRS, CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) and/or an MBA Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid) We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home. Salary Range: 131,905-180,000 Salary range is an estimate of base pay.
