Job Description: Customer Service Representative (Contract-to-Hire)Contract Length: Up to 1 year, with potential for permanent hireSchedule: On-site, 5 days a week with some weekends as needed, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with potential for overtimeExperience Required: 2-3 years in logistics, ideally within freight forwarding or the airline industry; typing proficiency (40-50 wpm)Preferred Start Date: ASAP, with flexibility for early next yearCompensation: $20-$22 per hour plus overtimeKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Customer Support and UpdatesProvide daily shipment updates to customers, track deliveries, and maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) records in UFS Plus, ensuring all customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.Break Bulk (BB) ShipmentsOrganize and consolidate Break Bulk shipments in UFS Plus, issue arrival notices to customs brokers, and verify Master Air Waybills (MAWBs) for designated customers.Delivery Carrier CertificationIssue Delivery Carrier Certificates for broker-handled shipments after invoice payments have been completed.Delivery Order PreparationGenerate and dispatch daily Delivery Orders for shipments, coordinate final-mile deliveries, and update POD records to reflect delivery status.Vendor Communication and CoordinationCommunicate with airlines, warehouses, and other vendors on a daily basis to coordinate instructions and obtain shipment updates.MAWB Hot Sheet and Airline CoordinationMaintain the MAWB Hot Sheet, designate airlines, and resolve any issues with airlines or warehouses as needed.Email ManagementMonitor and respond to incoming emails promptly, forwarding information to appropriate team members or supervisors.Billing Invoice ProcessingCreate and send billing invoices for turnover shipments to the assigned broker for payment.Weekend Shift ParticipationTake part in a rotating weekend shift schedule, typically working every other Saturday.Issue EscalationReport and escalate issues, such as shipment delays, damages, or customer concerns, to a supervisor as necessary.Additional Requirements:Education: College degree preferredSoftware Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong typing abilities requiredPersonality Traits: Proactive, eager to learn, and responsive to dynamic logistics needs
