Position: Senior Estimator - Self Storage and RetailClient: Leading General Contractor Construction Management firm in New JerseyCompensation: $150,000 - $200,000Location: New JerseyWork Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card ONLYThe successful Senior Estimator - Self Storage and Retail responsibilities will include:Manage the estimating process for multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely estimates.Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates.Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and equipment expenses.Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and project specifications.Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.Monitor and track industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to maintain accurate estimating data and pricing databases.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and contribute to their professional development.Collaborate with the project management team during the construction phase to address any estimating-related issues or changes.The ideal Senior Estimator - Self Storage and Retail will have:Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, with a proven track record in successfully estimating commercial and residential projects.Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in New York.Benefits include:Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance401kPTO
