Food Service Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:Under the general direction of the Food Services Supervisor, carry out day-to-day food servicesfunctions as directed so that nutritious, healthy foods may be served to residents.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Maintain a clean, safe, and productive kitchen environment.2. Assist the Food Services Supervisor in maintaining the meal schedule and menu plan,unloading and storing food, and preparing meals for homeless and addicted residents.3. Maintain the cleanliness of DRMM kitchen and kitchen equipment as instructed.4. Participate in group projects with participants andor volunteers to accomplish specificfood services tasks.5. Report incidents that adversely affect the living environment of residents or the securityand safety of food supplies.6. Attend and participate in in-service education and training, multi-disciplinary staffmeetings or general staff meetings.7. Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly Spiritual Life Activities, including leadingindividual and group Christian prayer, bible study, edification and testimony sharing.Serve on the monthly rotational Spiritual Life Committee of your DRMM location.Participate in special Spiritual Life events and programs as needed.OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Performs other duties as assigned.
