Qualifications Required: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a healthcare setting with an in-depth knowledge of clinical and/or business systems Ability to effectively train groups of people using a variety of teaching methods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Attention to detail, problem solving and deductive reasoning skills Preferred: Experience with SQL querying and reporting tools such as PowerBI or Tableau Job Summary The Application Analyst Level 1 is responsible for application maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and basic configuration of all hospital applications. This role ensures application adoption by the hospital's user community by organizing and delivering high quality training using a variety of teaching methods. A key responsibility of the Application Analyst Level 1 is to partner with the Application Team to clearly document application workflows to be used as reference for training and testing efforts. Job is mostly sedentary, sitting at desk functions Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Frequently conducts business via telephone Must have dexterity and visual ability to use a computer Cognitive Demands Frequently uses independent judgment and problem-solving techniques to solve application issues Continuously communicates with others using effective listening, written and verbal skills Prioritizes different requests to meet most urgent department needs Initiates work independently, knows how to access resources and can handle multiple responsibilities Work Demands Works under a variety of conditions inside, including moderate noise (multiple people on the phone at once) and frequent interruptions Works with and around others Adjusts work hours and schedule to adapt to changing priorities in the hospital Works under deadlines and budgetary constraints Essential Functions Accurately performs system maintenance configuration tasks as logged in the IT Ticketing System according to defined SLAs Troubleshoots, researches and solves technically challenging problems and customer issues that are logged in the IT Ticketing System according to defined SLAs Educates and trains the hospital user community on application usage using a variety of methods to meet the user needs Collaborates and consults with application director, application team, and user community to coordinate activities and resolve issues Contributes in the preparation and execution of testing scripts and materials and performs unit, functional, and integrated testing tasks Documents and maintains all required application workflows and configuration steps in a defined reference repository Provides IT on call support as scheduled
