SAUTE COOK JOB DESCRIPTION Reports directly to: Executive Chef Job Overview Located less than 10 minutes from South County is a new exciting concept,   Guest satisfaction in our restaurant revolves around the food appearance, high quality and overall dining experience. The sauté cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry stations, grill, sauté or other areas of the kitchen.     General Responsibilities Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Follows recipes, creates consistent products, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant Preps, labels and restocks all items as needed throughout the shift Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment on the station Knows cooking times and temperatures of grilled meats Lead the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas Making sure item pars are prepped for following service and willing to stay until job is complete Able to multi task on the line and take ownership of station Performs additional responsibilities as requested by Management and Chefs Experience/ Knowledge: Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures Hot line, fast paced experience Knowledge of stocks, Mother sauces, and Monter au Beurre Skills/Aptitudes: Professional communication skills are required Ability to take direction Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized Able to work multiple stations and repetitive motions   Benefits Health, dental, vision Paid Time Off Flexible schedule Advance from within We are still growing, tons of room for advancement Competitive pay
